Abigail (Abbie) Guisbond joined Capital Health Consulting in June of 2019 and serves as the Government Affairs and Health Policy Associate. Abbie brings her experience as a research assistant studying immigrant and migrant farmworkers access to health care. In April of 2019 she advocated for “Green Light NY: Driving Together” through the NY Immigration Coalition to improve transportation for individuals working in farming to access health care. Abbie has also assisted in HIV/STD patient field work

while at the Communicable Disease Division, New York State Department of Health. She also brings her experience working with women with breast cancer diagnoses, the American Cancer Society and volunteering her time in the community. Abbie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a concentration in Medical Anthropology and the Socio-Medical Sciences. Abigail’s advocacy experience and work with diverse populations, combined with her education, has given her a passion for public policy.
In her spare time Abbie enjoys cooking, yoga, skiing and practicing classical ballet and modern dance, and has held the position of a Dance Instructor. She also enjoys spending time with her toy poodle golden doodle mix, Teddy Bear.
