Albany, NY - Capital Health Consulting is a boutique government relations and consulting firm developed in response to the rising demands of health and human service clients. Led by its founder Lisa Wickens-Alteri, a registered nurse by background, Capital Health Consulting is comprised of a group of clinicians with over 100 years of experience in both policy development and government for the Department of Health for New York State.

Capital Health Consulting works with hospitals, nursing homes, pediatrics, federally health qualified centers, providers and agencies that serve individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities, as well as individuals that require services for substance abuse disorders and behavioral health.

“We work with our health and human service clients to develop a strategy to benefit the individuals they serve, improve their business models so they can serve more individuals or assist them to meet the needs of their patients,” says Lisa. “And we only represent clients that help or benefit a patient on the other end, no matter how far that may be.”

“We happen to all come from health, human service and government backgrounds,” says Lisa. “We know the rules and regulations of providers-- hospitals, nursing homes, home care agencies, adult homes, dialysis centers – have to follow to be a quality provider. We also know that if there's any issues that they need to fix, we can fix it.

As clinicians, CHC possesses both clinical knowledge and empathy with an understanding of medical conditions and expected outcomes at the bedside. On the government side, they know how to quantify and deliver a message that educates the individuals in government who can help.
