Valarie Harris joined the team in January of 2017 to serve as the Office Coordinator.  Prior to joining the team, she spent 38 years in public service working for the NYS Department of Health where prior to retirement she served as the Bureau Director for the Bureau of Professional Credentialing.  In this position, she was responsible for the licensure of the nursing home administrators, staff to the Board of

Examiners, approver for Personal Home Aide training programs, provided oversight for the Criminal History Record Check program, home care registry, nurse aide training program and coordinator for the Informal Dispute Resolution hearings.  In addition, during her time in the NYS DOH, she served as a HIV/AIDs educator, counselor and venipuncturist for the AIDs Institute, personnel administrator for Human Resource Management, Contract Manager and Office Coordinator for the Office of Continuing Care, and TBI coordinator and contract manager.  Valarie attended SUNY Cortland where she majored in Fine Art. 
 
Valarie teaches art classes to junior and senior high school students, participates in community mentoring programs for youth and young adults, is a published fiction writer, artist and enjoys gardening.
